UNIOSUN Courses And Requirements 2024/2025

Before starting the application process, candidates should be aware of the two main modes of entry into Osun State University (UNIOSUN): UTME and Direct Entry. Candidates must ensure that they meet the requirements for the mode of entry they wish to use.

UTME Requirements

The UTME is an entry mode that requires candidates to pass the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination. Candidates will need to meet the general UTME requirements as well as the specific requirements for their chosen course of study at UNIOSUN.

• Candidates must have a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings. Other subjects must be related to the chosen course.
• Candidates are required to have a minimum score of 160 in the JAMB examination. However, some courses may have higher score requirements.
• Candidates should ensure that their JAMB subject combination aligns with the requirements of their chosen course (e.g., for Engineering, candidates typically need Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).

Direct Entry

Direct Entry allows candidates to gain admission into UNIOSUN without sitting for the UTME. This mode of entry is designed for candidates with higher qualifications, such as A’ Levels, ND, HND, or equivalent.

• Candidates must have a minimum of five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects.
• Candidates must have at least one of the following: A’ Level or equivalent qualifications in relevant subjects, ND, HND with a minimum of lower credit, or any other recognized equivalent qualifications.
