The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) cut-off mark for admission is 180 and above. This means that if you are writing JAMB, you must ensure that you score 180 or more. FUTA Admission Requirements for 2024/2025
If you are interested in studying any of the courses offered by FUTA, these are the requirements you are expected to meet depending on your preferred mode of entry:-
UTME Admission Requirements
- Applicants need at least five (5) credit passes in subjects that are relevant to their chosen course. These must include English Language and Mathematics, achieved in not more than two sittings from exams like WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
- You must score at least 180 in the UTME and meet the specific departmental cut-off mark set by FUTA.
- Ensure that the subjects you chose in the UTME align with the requirements for your desired course. This is listed in the JAMB brochure.
- Candidates must not be younger than the age of 16 years at the time of applying.
- You must choose FUTA as your first choice of preferred institution. If you didn’t, you can still apply ONLY after you have changed institutions through JAMB.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
- Candidates should have at least two A-Level passes in relevant subjects, in addition to five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
- Applicants with Upper Credit in a relevant field can apply.
- Those with merit or higher in two major subjects, along with O’Level credits, may be eligible for some courses.
- Candidates with good grades from recognized preparatory programs like JUPEB or IJMB can apply, provided they meet course-specific criteria.
- Each department may have additional specific requirements for Direct Entry applicants.
